Ternelin (2mg) 10 Tablets

This medicine is used to treat muscle cramps and spasms. It contains Tizanidine, a muscle relaxant, which works by stimulating pre-synaptic alpha-2 receptors in the spinal cord. It inhibits the release of excitatory amino acids, thereby reducing muscle tone and providing relief.

Muscle Relaxant

This medicine is used to treat painful muscle cramps and pain caused by:

• Spinal cord injuries
• Multiple sclerosis
• Spasticity due to neurological disorders
• Cerebral Palsy
• Chronic myelopathy
• Cerebrovascular accidents
• Degenerative spinal cord diseases

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Take as per doctor's Prescription.
• Take one tablet per day as your doctor suggests.
• Your doctor will determine the treatment length based on your symptom severity.

If you think you have used too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Seek medical emergency help immediately.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Take one tablet per day, with or without food as your doctor has recommended. Take the medication regularly and at the same time each day to get the most benefit from it.

You should not use this medication, if:

• You have a known hypersensitivity to tizanidine or any component of the formulation
• You have significantly impaired liver function
• You are using tizanidine with fluvoxamine or ciprofloxacin
• You have any of the rare hereditary conditions such as galactose intolerance, of severe lactase deficiency or of glucose galactose malabsorption.

• Hallucination, insomnia, sleep disorder
• Bradycardia
• Hypotension
• Dry mouth
• Nausea
• Hepatitis
• Musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders
• Muscular weakness
• Fatigue

It would be best if you practiced these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you are lactating, and there’s no safer alternative available.
• This medication can affect your ability to drive, so avoid driving.
• Talk to your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.

This medication may interact with these drugs:

• Fluvoxamine or ciprofloxacin
• CYP4501A2 inhibitors
• Antiarrhythmics
• Cimetidine
• Some fluoroquinolones
• Rofecoxib
• Oral contraceptives
• Ticlopidine
• Alcohol and sedatives

The food interactions that should be considered before using tizanidine are:

• Alcohol can increase the amount of tizanidine in your blood.
• The risk of drowsiness and dizziness may also be increased if you drink alcohol while taking tizanidine.
• Avoid or limit the use of alcohol while taking the product.

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
