Ticovate (0.005%) 10g Ointment

This medicine is used to treat skin conditions like eczema. Skin inflammation leads to dilation of blood vessels around the affected skin site. Corticosteroids in the medicine work by constricting the capillaries (small blood vessels) and reducing pain and swelling.

Ticovate ointment is used to treat these skin conditions:

• Eczema
• Psoriasis
• Skin Rashes

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Take as per doctor's Prescription.
• Apply the Terbiderm Cream to the affected area topically, once or twice daily as recommended by the doctor.
• Your doctor will determine the duration of treatment based on the symptom severity.

Using too much fluticasone is unlikely to be harmful. However, if you apply too much of this to a child or yourself, carefully wash the affected area of skin until the cream is completely gone. Discuss your concerns with a doctor or chemist.

Do not worry if you forget to apply your ointment or cream. Unless your next dose is almost due, use it as soon as you remember. In this instance, apply the subsequent dose at the scheduled time and omit the missed one.

Wash your hands before using the cream, gel, or ointment. Apply the cream topically on the affected area once or twice a day for at least 1-2 weeks.

Children above 3 months of age and adults of all ages can use this medication.

• Mild skin itching
• Burning
• Peeling
• Dryness
• Changes in the color of treated skin
• Headache
• Thinning or softening of skin
• Skin rash or irritation around the mouth
• Swollen hair follicles
• Redness or crusting around hair follicles
• Blisters
• Pimples
• Crusting of treated skin
• Stretch marks

You should practice these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant and there’s no safer alternative available.
• There's no data available for lactating females, so talk to your doctor before usin these corticosteriods.
• Talk to your doctor if you have a hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the medicine.

Tell your doctor or chemist about any current or potential medications you may be taking, particularly if you take itraconazole and ritonavir.
