Tobrex (0.3%) 5ml Eye Drops

Tobramycin works by binding to a site on the bacterial 30S and 50S ribosome, preventing formation of the 70S complex. As a result, mRNA cannot be translated into protein, and cell death ensues. Tobramycin also binds to RNA-aptamers, artificially created molecules to bind to certain targets.

Aminoglycoside antibiotic

In case of excessive usage of these drops, wash your eyes immediately with plenty of water. If the irritation persists, inform your doctor immediately

Do not put more drops in case of a missed dose. Consult a doctor in case of missed doses

Pull the lower eyelid away from skin to make space using clean hands and drop the medicine into the space. Let go of the eye gently and do not blink.

Contraindicated in case of:

• allergy to the constituents

Common side effects include:

• eye pain
• eye discomfort
• swelling
• watery eyes and irritation
• repeated use may lead to a new fungal infection

Your healthcare provider needs to know immediately if:

• you are allergic to active ingredient or other aminoglycosides
• you are allergic to benzalkonium chloride
• you have had any eye problems
• you are pregnant or breastfeeding
