Product Information
A tracheal tube is a flexible cylindrical device used to maintain an open airway in patients requiring mechanical ventilation or with compromised breathing. Made from materials like silicone or PVC, it is inserted into the trachea through the mouth, nose, or a tracheostomy incision. The tube features a cuff that can be inflated to secure it and prevent air leaks, as well as a pilot balloon for monitoring cuff pressure. It may also include a suction port for clearing secretions and, in some designs, a fenestration to allow for speech. The tracheal tube ensures effective ventilation and oxygenation by providing a secure airway.
