It does this by stabilizing the nerve cell membranes and preventing the influx of sodium ions, which are necessary for generating and conducting nerve impulses. By blocking these signals, pramoxine effectively numbs the area where it is applied, providing temporary relief from discomfort.

Topical Anesthetic

Pramoxine dosage recommendations are:

• Topical application for itching and minor skin irritations - Apply a thin layer to the affected area up to 4 times daily, Children (aged 2-12 years) - Apply a thin layer to the affected area up to 3 times daily
• Hemorrhoidal discomfort - Apply to the affected area up to 4 times daily, Children (aged 2-12 years) - Apply to the affected area up to 3 times daily

In case of overdose, contact a healthcare professional or poison control. Symptoms may include increased skin irritation or discomfort. Follow medical advice.

If you miss an application, apply the cream as soon as you remember. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed application.

Wash your hands thoroughly before use. Clean the affected area with mild soap and warm water, and rinse it thoroughly. Gently pat the area dry with a clean, soft cloth or tissue. Apply a small amount of pramoxine cream to the affected area. After application, wash your hands thoroughly to remove any residual cream.

Do not use pramoxine hydrochloride if you:

• Are allergic to pramoxine hydrochloride or any other ingredients
• Have broken or irritated skin

Consult to doctor if you have any burning sensation after application

• Systemic medications (e.g., oral antibiotics) (generally minimal interaction, but monitor for any unexpected reactions when used concurrently)

Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container. Dispose of unused or expired medication by returning it to a pharmacy for safe disposal.
