Description
Lisinopril works by blocking a substance in the body that causes the blood vessels to tighten. As a result, lisinopril relaxes the blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. Lisinopril is also used to help treat heart failure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill). Hydrochlorothiazide, Lisinopril combination is utilized for the following therapeutic indications:

Dosage
Follow these dosage instructions:
Adult Dosage
5 milligrams (mg) orally per day. Your doctor will determine the length of the treatment and may adjust the dose after some time. The dose should not exceed more than 40mg per day.
Child Dosage
The dosage for the child is strictly recommended by the doctor.

In case of Overdose
Overdose symptoms include profound hypotension, acute renal failure, respiratory distress, and altered mentation secondary to central hypoperfusion. Seek emergency medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine and notice any of these symptoms.
