How to Make Hand Sanitizer At Home?

You may wonder how to make hand sanitizer at home, so here is a solution for you.  Do you know that it is very easy to make homemade hand sanitizer and it requires few ingredients such as

  • Isopropyl Alcohol- is also known as rubbing oil. It is a clear, colorless, and safe liquid to disinfect. It is a major ingredient of household items such as cleansers, disinfectors, and hand sanitizers.
  • Aloe Vera Gel- Adding aloe vera gel to hand sanitizer helps your skin to get moisturized and soft.
  • Essential Oils (tea tree oil & lavender oil)- When you add essential oil with isopropyl it increases the protection as both are anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial liquids.

To make a good hand sanitizer use a ratio of 2:1 of alcohol and aloe vera. Your hand sanitizer should contain 60% alcohol to kill germs.

The Formula of Homemade Hand Sanitizer

  • ⅔  cup of isopropyl alcohol
  • ⅓ cup of aloe vera

These essential oils will cover up the smell of alcohol and will give a pleasant smell. Now mix all these ingredients well and put them into a dry bottle. Please label the bottle as hand sanitizer and place it away from children.
