Spread the love

You must be curious about what are worms and how they look.

Let’s discuss them.
Worms can live in many different, and often dangerous, places. From the garden in your backyard to deep-sea hydrothermal vents that spew out poisonous chemicals and the icy cold waters of the Antarctic, water is everywhere. Worms come in a huge range of sizes, from tiny ones that you can only see with a microscope to ones that are half as long as an Olympic swimming pool. You can have an endoscopy test to see if your child has worms in his gut or intestine. Let’s see what are the common signs and symptoms.

What Are The Signs That You Have Intestinal Worms?

Worms in the intestines often cause:

Abdominal pain, diarrhea, sickness, or throwing up gas and bloating fatigue, weight loss that can’t be explained, and pain or tenderness in the stomach

A person with worms in their intestines may also get dysentery. When an infection in the intestines causes diarrhea with blood and mucus in the stool, this is called dysentery. Worms in the intestines can also make the rectum or vulva itchy. In some cases, you might have a worm in your poop when you go to the bathroom.

We have discussed symptoms so far but I bet you must be looking for home remedies for worms in children.

Home Remedies For Worm In Children

If you want to avoid giving your child medicine, try the following home remedies.

Garlic

It is one of the most common home remedies for worm infections and can usually be found in your kitchen. It kills parasites well because it has a lot of amino acids that contain sulfur. Garlic also kills bacteria, fungi, and germs in your toddler’s body because it is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic. Garlic can be used in different ways to get rid of intestinal worms:

Give your toddler two to three raw cloves of garlic every day on an empty stomach for a week.

You can also mix raw garlic with petroleum jelly like Vaseline to make a paste and put it on your toddler’s anal area. This will get rid of the worm eggs in the area and stop your toddler from scratching. Be careful not to use it if your toddler’s skin is very sensitive or if the area is inflamed or broken.

Raw Papaya

Since ancient times, raw papaya has been used to get rid of worms. Papain is an enzyme found in raw papaya that can kill worms. The caricin in papaya seeds can also get rid of the roundworms in your toddler’s intestines. There are many ways to use papaya.

Mix 3–4 tablespoons of warm milk or water with 1 tablespoon of raw papaya juice and 1 tablespoon of honey. Give this to your toddler every day for 3 days when he or she is hungry.

A study in 2012 showed that papaya seeds could be used to treat worm infections in rats.

Coconut

Coconut is another thing that is often used to get rid of worms in toddlers, and it works very well, especially for threadworms. It is very effective at killing parasites. Here are some ways to use coconut:

For a week, give your toddler one tablespoon of grated coconut at breakfast.

Give your toddler 4–6 teaspoons of virgin coconut oil every morning for a week. The worms will leave his body because the oil has medium-chain triglycerides in it. On top of that, the oil will boost his immune system, which will keep the infection from coming back.

Carrots

Carrots have a lot of vitamin A, which helps your body fight off sickness. Every morning for a week, give your toddler a cup of freshly grated carrot on an empty stomach. Don’t give them anything else to eat with the carrot. With this home remedy, threadworms are easy to get rid of. If he doesn’t want to eat the grated carrot, you can give him carrot juice.

Pumpkin seeds

The cucurbitacin in pumpkin seeds has anti-parasitic properties that stop the worms from being able to hold on to the intestinal walls. This means that the worms are thrown out of the body.

In fact, from 1863 to 1936, pumpkin seeds were listed in the United States Pharmacopoeia as a way to get rid of parasites in the gut.

Neem

Neem, also called Indian Lilac, can kill parasites and kill intestinal worms. It can be used in different ways:

Toast neem leaves in clarified butter and serves them with rice to your toddler.

Mix the neem leaves into a paste. Mix this paste with half a teaspoon of warm water and give it to your toddler to drink every day for a week on an empty stomach. Repeat every other week until the worms are gone.

Caraway Seeds

The thymol in carom seeds can stop worms from growing in the digestive tract. This is how you should give it to your toddler:

If your child is hungry, give them a tablespoon of grated jaggery. Wait between 15 and 20 minutes. Then give him a glass of water with 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of crushed carom seeds. Do this every day for two weeks.

Turmeric

As an anthelmintic, turmeric is also a great way to get rid of intestinal worms. It can make them sick and hurt the eggs they lay. Give your child a glass of warm water or buttermilk to which you have added a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Do this every day for 5–7 days to kill the worms.
