A private news channel reporter visited Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital in Kabul where a huge number of children were hospitalized for various diseases including respiratory issues.
“We could not afford to pay for her treatment. We took her to Pul-e-Khumri city (in Baghlan). Doctors sent us to Kabul. Thank God, she is feeling better now”, said the Grandmother of one of the children aged one and a half under treatment for a Cardiac problem and pneumonia.
The doctors at the hospitals in Afghanistan said that the major cause of the children getting admitted is the increase in seasonal diseases among children.
Serious steps are being taken in order to eradicate the onset of diseases attacking children. In other news, hospitals in Pakistan including Family Hospital, Hashmani Hospital, and Services hospital are running short on equipment. Steps need to be taken in this matter to save children from any viral disease.
