The district administration has designated eight hotspots in the city as covid-dense. These measures are taken into account to contain the aggressive spread of coronavirus to some extent.

In a notice issued by the deputy commissioner Peshawar, the areas which have been in the trajectory include, hazar Bhawani, gulbahar no.4, Dilla zak road, warsak road, and hayatabad phase 4.

The supermart, other medical facilities and other sorts of emergency services are said to remain open during this smart lockdown. But both the entry and exit points are to remain blocked in these highlighted areas.

"Under the restrictions, no general entry or exit to this locality by any person, except those supplying essential commodities, shall be allowed. All types of gatherings within these localities are strictly prohibited,"

"All shops other than those of essential services (pharmacies, general stores, food supplies, tandoors, drinking water supplies, and emergency, etc.) would remain closed within these localities. The congregation in mosques shall be restricted to five persons only."

This restriction came into force on the 24th of January at 4 pm in the evening and will remain intact till any further shift in the orders.
