08-08-2021According to the latest reports Pakistan has reported 141 deaths due to the coronavirus. The last time Pakistan hit three-digit was four months ago.
With the recent sharp rise in the death rate, the total number of deaths related to this novel coronavirus now stands at 25,220. This data is backed by the National Command and Operation Center. More than 5000 people have tested positive with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The statistics for the total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan is 1,135,858. With these numbers, the positivity rate for Covid-19 stands at a whopping 6.83%. These numbers have created havoc in the upper management as the risk of corona fatalities once again is beginning to rise.
Statistics 25 Aug 21:
Total Tests in Last 24 Hours: 61,410
Positive Cases: 4199
Positivity % : 6.83%
Deaths : 141

But there is another side to this story. Despite the sudden rise in fatalities, Reuters reports clearly state that the rate of infection is plummeting in Pakistan.
It is reported by NCOC that an average of 49,883,211 doses has been successfully administered in the span of the last 24 hours. If we are to continue at the current pace, after approximately 73 days, another 10% of the population will be successfully vaccinated.
The management has successfully implanted the need for vaccination in the general public and that is how they are able to control a fraction of the problem. But we are still far away from declaring the position “in control”.
