09-09-2021The District Health Officer of Islamabad, Dr. Zeem Zia in an interview said that 27 new cases have been reported which totals the number of patients suffering from dengue to 134.
He said that this recent rise has caused an increase in the number of hospital admissions in Islamabad.
During an anti-dengue survey in the city, 53 spots were found infected with dengue larvae. DHO further added that the number of people suffering from dengue fever is 99 and they are currently undergoing treatment in the hospitals.
Monitoring Dengue case responses, the teams deputed on dengue are carrying out extensive operations for the safety of residents of Islamabad.

He further added that in Tarlai Khan the highest number of cases were reported, the other regions which are mainly affected with dengue fever are Koral, Alipur, and Tarnol.
The government is ensuring that they are taking the maximum and necessary precaution measures to keep the citizens safe. They have also appealed to the local residents to not let weather gather in front of their houses and to report to the authorities in case of such poor maintenance.
