14-12-2022According to the report, no more strategies for COVID-19 protection may create a new deadly variant. Recently, many parts of China had a high rise in people who got infected, shared by the Head of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The first statement by WHO Director-General ledros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was, “the world has never been in a better position to end the pandemic”.
But now, there is a change in his statement as he shared, “Gaps in testing… and vaccination are continuing to create the perfect conditions for a new variant of concern to emerge that could cause significant mortality”.
Reuters also said, “In China, COVID-19 spreads at a high rate and is affecting the people who are living in parts of Britain after months of decline”.

In some areas, COVID-19 testing requirements and quarantine were implemented. But there was also some flexibility in the policies.
Mary Ramsay, Director of Public Health Programmes at the UK Health Security Agency shared, “While COVID-19 and flu can be mild infections for many, we must not forget that they can cause severe illness or even death for those most vulnerable in our communities”.
Reports share how people are getting infected as they were not following any virus policy which led to a high rise in cases. Health experts are concerned about the strategies to tackle COVID-19. Health experts from Fatima memorial hospital, rasheed hospital, Aadil Hospital share that if these policies will not be implemented, they may create a new deadly variant.
The WHO emphasized governments stay focused on people who are at risk and make sure about the vaccination of people with any underlying condition and in older adults.
Tedros also shared “There were now more than 500 highly transmissible omicron sublineages circulating – all able to get around built-up immunity more easily, even if they tended to be less severe than previous variants”.
