He further added that “many diseases can be avoided by implementing the principles of hygiene in our daily life, making sure to wash hands with soap before eating and after defecation. If it is made, there will be no need to go to a doctor while the expenses incurred on treatment will also be saved.”
On the occasion, it was also emphasized that being both a social and medical issue, dengue fever must be controlled by residents maintaining a clean, dry home and neighborhood.
According to Principal AMC, Lahore General Hospital will continue to provide free diagnosis and treatment services for those suffering from dengue fever in accordance with directives from the Punjab Government and the Department of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education.
Prof. Al-Fareed asked the citizens to take action to stop the breeding of mosquitoes by getting rid of standing water in their particular communities. Dengue transmission can be effectively reduced by routine spraying and maintaining sanitary conditions in homes and public areas.
In order to avoid disease and build a healthy society, environmental health must be protected. To do this, each member of the community must take personal responsibility and fulfill their obligations to that group.
