Health Minister Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir along with Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatha and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema visited the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU). He scrutinized and inspected all parts of it.

He visited the dialysis center, the laboratory, and the OPD. There he also inspected the medical equipment and other health facilities provided to the patients.

A press release also said that he also inspected the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology’s building in detail and suggested and issued some necessary instructions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Provincial Health Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir said that, “not only the citizens of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, but also the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, KP, and AJK are benefiting from modern health facilities available at the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology. He said that RIU is a state-of-the-art treatment facility equipped with all modern facilities, which provides world-class medical facilities to patients suffering from kidney and bladder diseases.”

It was also mentioned that Dr. Jamal liked RIU’s pathology lab and mentioned to people that the OPD was fully functional, providing facilities to a good number of patients every day by highly qualified doctors and pharmaceutical staff that are present in the facility.

Dr. Jamal Nasir also said that “RIU will also provide specialized facilities for specific diseases of kidney and bladder on the pattern of RIC and this will make facilities available to a large number of people.”

It was also mentioned that all possible measures are being looked into to deliver modern medical facilities to people. Also, relief can be provided to people if RIU keeps making its performance better in the available budget and resources.
