With the death count being 85 and 4500 new Covid -19 infected reports, Pakistan has received 3m doses of Pfizer vaccine donated by the US, today
The current national positivity rate of coronavirus is at a jarring 7.4%. NCOC has urged the nation to get vaccinated. The country has administered 50 million doses of vaccine to the masses but the number of infected communities is still climbing. This sharp rise is because of a new strain; the delta variant.
NCOC said in a tweet “ For best protection against Covid, complete vaccination is a must. Get your second dose after 28 days (even if you don’t get a message, just walk into any nearest CVC and get your second dose)”.
14 million people have been fully vaccinated in the span of the last seven months. More than 35 million people have successfully received the first dose of vaccination. Extra points for the government for exercising their authority in the right manner to urge the public to get vaccinated.
Unicef in a statement has claimed that Covax has delivered more than 17 million doses of vaccination. The US under the Covax dose sharing mechanism has donated 3 million doses of Pfizer, 6.1 million doses of Sinopharm, 2.4 million doses of AstraZeneca. With the anticipation of more doses arrival, this symbiotic relationship is not stopping anytime soon!
