Since the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Healthcare System of Pakistan has been impacted majorly. But, with the initiative of Sehat Sahulat Cards, the PTI Government is very optimistic. The mission to expand the program globally while addressing health-related issues of the masses is what is anticipated.

 

It is expected that eventually, the entire population of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and AJK will be getting the facility.

The Health Minister while giving a speech during the event mentioned that “Over 30 million families have been given top quality health facilities by Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is a gift from the Prime Minister for the entire nation. The Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card is bringing about real change in the health sector. Cardholders can get free treatment of up to Rs one million in impaneled hospitals”.

Dialogue with the benefactors has been improved and progressed that will provide extra financing in the coming five years for the stipulation of healthcare at the primary level.

Till the end of 2021, a total of 13.26 million families have been enrolled however people of Sindh and Balochistan are unaware of the program as of yet. Also, people who came to Islamabad in the ’60s are still not being considered for the card as their permanent address on CNIC shows Balochistan or Sindh.

Private Hospitals in Pakistan have started expanding due to the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card. The quality of service provided by the hospitals is being monitored closely.

“I appeal to all the families to get their data updated at NADRA. Provision of top-quality healthcare facilities is the top priority of the Government” - Yasmeen Rashid.
